This self-care technique was created to promote a way for clients to experience relief of common body aches and pains at home.
Tennis Ball Therapy is an effective
way to move out of pain and discomfort with direct pressure
on a given pain source.
Place the tennis ball in the affected
area and find 'the spot'. Rest against the tennis ball long enough
to feel the pressure release out of your muscles. It is important
that you listen to your own body and NEVER push yourself into
doing something that DOES NOT feel good. The pressure you feel
through this work should be a 'good' ache that soon releases.
